• Justin Lowry

    Vice President

    Read Bio

In October 2023, Justin Lowry took a courageous step by sharing his 25-year battle with alcoholism and drug abuse with Dr. Pryor. After three years of recovery, he found purpose through service work, attending daily meetings to support others on similar journeys.

During his early sobriety, Justin noticed many individuals at meetings struggling with insecurities about their smiles, often covering their mouths when they spoke or laughed. This deeply affected him, prompting him to approach Dr. Pryor with a vision to help their community. Together, they created a program where young surgeons could gain experience while providing essential care to those in need.

Justin is grateful for his partnership with Dr. Jody Griffin, whose support has been instrumental, and for Andy Armbrister, a passionate advocate for their mission.

Justin considers his proudest accomplishment with Smiles For Recovery to be the provision of over $2 million in free dental care to date, and the placement of more than 700 implants for patients who might not otherwise receive such treatment. Justin and the team at Smiles For Recovery are deeply grateful to all who have supported their efforts. He has long been heard saying, "The true gift lies with the giver, and we are fortunate to have board members who embody this spirit."
